A bistable solenoid comprises a housing, a coil, a permanent magnet, an armature, a pin, and a spring. The coil is arranged inside the housing. The armature is slidably arranged inside the housing and can move between the first armature position and the second armature position. The pin extends at least partially out of the housing and is slidably fitted by the armature. The spring is biased between the armature and the pin. When the pin encounters an intermediate position between the retracted position and the extended position due to the pin fitting obstacle, the spring is configured to maintain a bias force on the pin until the obstacle is removed.
The bistable rotary solenoid uses a cylindrical permanent magnet as the axis of rotation and utilizes the repulsion and attraction between the permanent magnet on the axis and the magnetic poles on the yoke to form a rotational motion. After cutting off the power, the stable state will be maintained by the permanent magnet of the rotating shaft. Unlike traditional rotary solenoids that convert general mechanical linear motion into rotational motion through mechanical construction, this product directly generates rotational motion, thus eliminating the need for axial motion.
