As an electrical component, the function of solenoid mainly includes push-pull motion, rotary motion, adsorption motion, traction motion, etc. These examples are given for the time being. Moreover, to achieve the above actions, there are many mature and recognized actions in the market, which are classified as follows according to various sports:
1. Push-pull movement: such as cylinder, linear motor, motor with gearbox
Advantages of electromagnet: the cylinder needs to be connected to another air source, so the response speed is slow, while the electromagnet is only connected to electricity, so the response is fast.
The motor needs additional screw and gearbox, while the electromagnet only needs to be connected to the power supply without additional mechanism.
Solenoid characteristics: under the condition of the same volume, the motion stroke of the matching mechanism of the cylinder and motor is much larger than that of the electromagnet. And it will be stronger.
2. Rotary motion: Motor
Advantages of electromagnet rotation: when the motor rotates, it is always energized to rotate, and the electromagnet can rotate at a certain angle.
Disadvantages of electromagnet: in the case of the same volume, the rotating force of motor is much larger than that of electromagnet.
3. Adsorption movement: colloidal suction cup, permanent magnet.
Advantages of electromagnet: under the same conditions, the adsorption force of electromagnet is greater than that of rubber suction cup and permanent magnet, and it has adsorption capacity when powered on. Cut off the power supply, eliminate the adsorption force and retract freely.
Disadvantages of electromagnet: electromagnet needs power supply.
4. Traction movement: motor belt conveyor
Electromagnet performance advantages: the electromagnet can accurately control the traction stroke and has fast response speed.
Disadvantages of electromagnet: at the same volume, the belt mechanism of motor is larger than that of electromagnet.
